Colin Hanks, son of the famous Tom
Hanks and Samantha Lewis, was born on 24 November
1977. He spent his youth in Sacramento. After deciding
to follow his father's dramatic footsteps, he began
studying acting and attended Loyola Marymount University
in Westchester, California. Before graduation, he
had a bit part in That Thing You Do (1996),
directed by Tom Hanks. After finishing his college,
Colin landed a role as Alex Whitman on television
series Roswell (1999)
and gained a lot of attention.
Colin made an appearance in the HBO series Band
of Brothers (2001)
and played the part of Felix in Get Over It (2001).
In 2002, Colin was featured in Under the Mimosa,
starring Shelley Duvall. That same year, he starred
in Orange County with Jack Black in a crazy comedy
involving misplaced college applications and a wide
range of hilarious characters.
