Biography:

Though she spent most of her childhood in New York, Jennifer Aniston was born in Sherman Oaks, California, into a famous acting family. Her father, John Aniston is veteran Days of Our Lives star. Aniston discovered her love of acting at the age of eleven when she was at the Rudolf Steiner School drama club.

Aniston proved to be a gifted painter during her study at the Rudolf Steiner School, but acting became her primary focus after graduating from New York's High School for the Performing Arts in 1987, and she took roles in a number of the off Broadway productions.

Aniston made her television debut on Molloy (1989). She next appeared on The Edge, a part in an episode of Quantum Leap, a role on Herman's Head (1991), a small part on The Ben Stiller Show (1993), and finally made her film debut in Leprechaun (1993)

In 1994, the mega-hit Friends launched Aniston's career as a sitcom actress in which she cast as Rachel, a spoiled suburbanite. Aniston next scored roles in a series of romantic comedies such as She's the One (1996), Picture Perfect (1997), 'Til There Was You (1997), and The Object of My Affection (1998) and met fellow actor Brad Pitt whom she married in 2000.

Though Aniston had gained a huge fame since her film debut in 1993, her talent for dramatic roles was finally given a proper place as she landed a leading role in The Good Girl (2002). Later on, she starred alongside Jim Carrey in the romantic comedy Bruce Almighty (2003).
