Biography: |
|
Grew up near Vancouver, British
Columbia, Canada, Michael Bublé was introduced
to swing music by his grandfather. With his grandfather's
assistance, Bublé learned all about swing
music and gained experience by singing as a guest
with several local bands.
At his teen years, Bublé won the Canadian
Youth Talent Search, and released several independent
albums, as well as performed in a musical band,
Swing, that traveled across the US.
Bublé’s big break came when he was
introduced to David Foster who signed his first
major recording contract with Reprise Records. His
debut album, Michael Bublé, was released
on 12 February 2003, featuring jazzy songs on old
standards like ‘Fever’
and ‘The Way You Look
Tonight’ as well as newer classics
like ‘Moondance’
and ‘How Can You Mend
a Broken Heart’. The album went gold
in Canada.
After making a world tour and appearances on several
television programs, Bublé ended 2003 with
the release of Christmas album, Let It Snow, and
started 2004 with the release of live CD/DVD set
Come Fly With Me.
In 2005, the single ‘It's
Time’ hit number one in Canada, Japan,
Italy, and Australia, and made the Top Ten in the
US and UK. Later that year, Bublé released
his live album, Caught In the Act. |
