The story evolves around Banyu,
a young man in his late 20s, embarking on a personal
journey to re-visit his childhood, tainted by a
family tragedy.
The winner of Citra Award for Best Actor, Tora Sudiro,
plays Banyu who works as a customer service in a
hypermarket. He first appears diligent yet actually
trapped in his routine, helpful yet lost, but his
moods and eventually his views of life change gradually
as one day strikes him. In the ‘journey’
Banyu encounters people with colorful characteristics
who bring some surreal tinge to this film. Among
them are his childhood neighbor Sula (Dian
Sastrowardojo), his eccentric Uncle, Wahyu
(Didi Petet), his schoolmate
Arief (Oscar Lawalatta)
and a line up of strangers with their quirky bearings
Can Banyu solve his problems at the end? Does he
finally find the solace to his questioning minds?
