Gianyar regency, rich in history
and artifacts, is considered as the center of Balinese
culture. Gianyar's history is possibly the most
fascinating in Bali. Gianyar town itself is a small
administrative town, home of the best preserved
places in the island which is unfortunately closed
to visitors. |

Demography |
Based on the statistic in 1999,
total population in Gianyar regency is 354.530 people
with total labor force is around 225.520 people
working in crafting industrial sector, agriculture,
commerce, and construction services. |

Geography |
Gianyar regency, famous for its
artistic and high culture, has many places of interest,
nature view, mountain, beautiful coast, ancient
artifacts, and all kinds of handicrafts which motivated
tourist and investors to visit Gianyar.
Gianyar covers 368 square km of land. It is divided
into 7 sub-districts: Payangan, Tegallalang, Tampak
Siring, Ubud, Gianyar, Sukawati, Blahbatuh. It is
an area of tropical climate which has two seasons,
rainy season and dry season. Air temperature varies
from 23ºC to 29ºC. |
